IEEE 2012 Services Workshop on Empirical Research in/for Service-Oriented Systems Engineering (ER-SOSE)

One day between June 24-29 2012, Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort and Spa, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.

Service-Oriented Systems Engineering (SOSE) has drawn an accelerated increasing attention since Service-Oriented Computing (SOC) was introduced.

SOC is a new paradigm for computing and thus new engineering techniques needed to be developed to make SOC software and hardware dependable, reliable, safe, and secure. Due to the dynamic and highly collaborative features, such as runtime composition that needs to be continuously monitored and re-optimized, new applications may not be easily evaluated because of the lack of a real test bed or the difficulty in replicating experimental results.

In this respect, the European Commission's initiative on FIRE (Future Internet Research and Experimentation) promotes investigation in an experimentally-driven way, by means of several facilities for those who need large-scale, diverse experimental environments.

The paper submission deadline is extended to March 23, 2012.
