Coordinated Calls for EU-Brazil and EU-Japan

An agreement has been reached for a Coordinated Call, which will be included in the 2013 Workprogramme. The Call will be issued around July 2012.
The next meeting will take place on 19 January, 2012 in Tokyo, where the focus will be on OpenFlow

A Workshop was held in Brazil on 7 November 2011. Presentations were given by the projects SmartSantander and BonFIRE on the topic of “Smart Platforms for a Smarter Society”. These are available at http://itamaratysocinfo.wordpress.com/

The topics will be in the areas of: Cloud Computing for Science, Sustainable technologies for a Smarter Society, Smart services and applications for a Smarter Society, Hybrid broadcast-broadband TV applications and services. This collaboration is supported by the Brazilian Ministry of Science and Technology and is intended to prepare Brazilian organisations for an increased involvement in the “regular” EC Calls in the future.
